Area Law Enforcement
Around fifty automobiles have been covered with what appears to be blood from a person in the Germany's town of Hanau near Frankfurt, police confirm law enforcement.
Vehicles, exterior walls and postal boxes were marked, in some cases with prohibited symbols, they stated in a release.
Law enforcement state they were contacted late on Wednesday evening, when a individual observed that a vehicle in the Lamboy area of Hanau had been smeared with a reddish substance.
The fluid had been drawn in the form of a swastika, they reported.
Law enforcement then discovered many other marked automobiles and house walls in the nearby vicinity.
Nazi symbols are prohibited in Germany under regulations banning the public display of Nazi symbols.
Law enforcement state early analysis indicate the liquid was likely blood from a person.
"At present there remains no indication as to its source; authorities are presently not informed of any harm in connection with the incident," they stated.
Municipal representatives stated they were trying "to unravel the incident" and have requested to the residents for tips.
A senior political figure said the attack rendered him without words and needed to be resolved promptly.
"This incident strikes at the core of Hanau and reopens the pain of the extremist attack in 2020," he posted on a platform, referring to the killing of nine victims by a gunman focusing on people of migrant background in February 2020.
